| The Wiveton Hall pigs are mostly Gloucester Old Spots, a rare breed famous for its flavour and hardiness. Our sows farrow naturally on lots of clean straw, in large, airy stables from where they can also wander into a sunny outside enclosure. The piglets have an additional infra-red lamp in a secluded corner, where they can bask if the weather is chilly. | |||||

| Pigs are woodland creatures in the wild. The Wiveton pigs live as nature intended in a spinney of mature chestnut, lime, ash and Scots pine trees (below). They eat windfall apples and the surplus fruit and vegetables from the farm, supplemented by what they root up themselves and some commercial pig food. | |||||
